Scott Hinton recently obtained his CPIM certification after completing instructor led review courses through the North Central Ohio Chapter. Here's what Scott had to say about his CPIM program experience.

        "My APICS CPIM experience began as an opportunity for me.  My company, The Wooster Brush Company offered it to me as a chance to learn more and grow in the inventory and scheduling functions I am responsible for.  My boss is certified and I have always been impressed with the depth of his knowledge.  I have to admit I was somewhat apprehensive about trying to get certified in an area I didn't have a great deal of experience in yet. The North Central Chapter of APICS has been helpful throughout the entire process and I am proud to say I am affiliated with them.  The facilities for instruction were top notch thanks to the Gorman-Rupp Company.  The Chapter had experienced, knowledgeable instructors come in to review the material.  I was always impressed with the amount of on-the-job experiences they had to share.  My advice for those thinking about enrolling in the APICS CPIM program is to start the journey now and stick with it.  You will come out of it with way more than a certification. I have learned so much working towards my certification.  I know it will guide my career path until the day I retire.  Although it was one of the hardest things I have done in my life, it is also one of the greatest accomplishments as well. I think my company is beginning to understand the value of an APICS certification.  Nothing can replace experience, but if you can wear the many different hats and understand the different areas of your organization you will be able to do your job better and be successful. That is what an APICS CPIM certification helps you do."
